Hi all! A while ago, I'd decided to "rescue" some sprites I had made earlier so I could reuse them for my visual novel, The Himbleton Winter Affair. It was made for a game jam with a stipulated amount of time for submissions, so there was a bit of crunch to get something out to fit its timeline. Additionally, sprite reuse is also great for outfit changes and continuity - so I didn't have too many regrets with giving all the existing sprite bases I had made an overhaul after I had completed the jam.

As these sprites were mostly drawn with their hair as the base design, I'd erased and redrawn parts of them. This will enable more hairstyles to go with different styles of clothing throughout different eras, settings and themes with just one base character. You can find the explanation devlog here. If you've downloaded the earlier versions of Murong Yi, you'd be pleased to know that the new sprite packs starting from Dragon Hero will have more expressions available. The dimensions of the character, however, will be maintained.
